The New Issues Forum at Annual Meeting: What to Expect

TMA’s enhanced Annual Meeting and House of Delegates, scheduled for May 1-2, includes the addition of the Issues Forum as a new educational component for 2026.

What Is the Issues Forum?

The Issues Forum is a policy-focused seminar designed to deliver deeper insight into the most pressing health care topics affecting Tennessee physicians and the patients they serve.

This year’s topics include AI in Medicine, identifying the players and drilling down on practical uses and Paying for Healthcare in the Future, focusing on innovative models and successful programs. Attendees will be eligible to earn 1.75 credit hours* of CME by registering and participating in the forum.

The forum will feature:

  • Expert speakers and thought leaders
  • Real-world data, trends and emerging developments
  • Opportunities for Q&A and member engagement

How the Issues Forum Supports the House of Delegates

Member feedback from the 2025 House of Delegates made it clear that physicians want more policy education and opportunities to engage in thoughtful discourse with their peers. The Issues Forum will help physicians discuss and better understand the issues that become policy. This is a great chance to participate in the process that may evolve into TMA resolutions, advocacy efforts and strategic priorities in a way that is engaging and interactive.

If you’ve never considered attending TMA’s Annual Meeting and House of Delegates, we invite you to join the conversation and take part in shaping the future of organized medicine in Tennessee.
